Its like they need to take someone out of the world to make them feel like the world doesn't own them anymore.

Either way, it's not a real safe stretch of road. Auto or bike, speed limit is 55, there is no where for a cop to "hide" and run radar so there's no deterrent for anyone to do the speed limit, and there are two campgrounds with pull outs w/o a light and trees in the median so people unfamiliar with the area (tourists vacationing, etc.) get stuck in the middle of the intersection/cut people off on accident all the time.

To all riders out there! People who drive cars dont give me a shit about bikers. Ive seen this soo many times where a car is right on a bikers ass on the road. thats messed up. It pisses me off! >:0
Keep a lookout on ur surroundings!

RIP and prayers to the family and friends
I'm still a little shaken myself, the image has been coming back to me all day. I passed within 15 feet (as directed) of the victim almost immediately after it happened (there were already enough people on scene that my stopping would only have caused more problems) and could easily tell his injuries were extensive, to say the least. Its something I'll never forget.

My wife and I had a discussion about who might really be to blame and quickly decided its just a terrible mishap for everyone involved.

I could only shake my head when I heard/saw bikes speeding (some well in excess of the limit) all day long today.

The victim was my close friend Josh who posted here as "Sintari". He was a very friendly and sociable guy, so there's a good chance some of you have talked to him before. check his myspace for his photos.

I'm glad someone saw it happen because I was in disbelief of the media where they said he was traveling in excessive speed because they always blow it up for a sport bike accident.
