Questions...'97 GSXR 750 SRAD
I'm picking up a '97 GSXR 750, bike's been sitting for a long time with what seemed to be quite a bit of gas in it. Well, there was about 1/2" thick worth of caramelized fuel in the bottom of the tank and the in-tank fuel pump was covered in it and I'm guessing there's so much debris and whatnot that the fuel pump isn't even getting power, or it's dead. Another problem is that it apparently uses a separate key for the gas tank and the seat release, these keys are missing and to remove the gas cap assembly I need a key to open it. Should I just have AAA come out and re-key the gas tank / seat release? What should I do about the varnish/shit in the tank? Is there any way to clean it up? All the electrics are functioning, tested via my Fluke multimeter.
