Default Places to ride 4 wheelers...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone,

Its been a while since I've been on here.

My friends and I just got 4 wheelers and we're looking for good places to ride.

Does anyone know any decent spots?

I heard Slade's Park is shut down.

We went to a place in elizabeth city that was rad, but thats been 3 or 4 years ago.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Harley Barker

thanks!

the sand pits

is there a super long dirt road to get back to it?

when you first start getting in, is there a huge sand dune on the left?

if so then yes and i assume that means no riding there anymore

slades park is near surry if i recall? and you say it is open?

and whats the deal with goldsboro?

thanks again,
harley

yeah, to get to the sand pits you have to go down a long road, there are some migrant workers that live off of it, then you pass the big sand hill on the left and then you get into the pits. people still ride it, you just need to not act like a total moron back there.

slades is near the power plant.

goldsboro is a nice place to ride. you can camp, swim and ride atvs all weekend if you so desire. you see alot of 4x4 atvs out there especially if they have had some rain. they had some mud race out there a month or so ago. we went sat and it was so dry we rode everywhere out there with the sport bikes. they have a make shift drag strip also. if you want to shoot me a pm and i will give you my cell. we go up to west va 2 or 3 times a year also to ride. we usually make it a 3 or 4 day trip and log roughly 200 miles on the atvs. what kind are you riding?

they had some trouble with youngins a while back in the sand pits, i think all of that has blown over, my buddy lives out there and he said people are back to riding.

the place in wv is welch and we unload at the hotel and dont use the truck till we go home.

if you know anyone looking for a raptor 700 that is quick my buddy is trying to sell his.

i now have a 06 450r and a 08 rancher 420
the 450 is no slouch, i cant keep anything stock.

i had a nice inventory of bikes a while back. if you use to ride the sand pits, i am sure i have seen you out there or you have heard of me.

i only went twice...it would have been around 2003-2004

it was a blast though...some crazy dude launched a crappy old 300ex into that large waterway on the right when you are up in there...like he hit that other sand hill and where you are supposed to turn left, he launched into the water lol

we drained his oil and fuel and gave him new, and he was riding again

good times though

does the place have an address or can you pm me how to get there again?

thanks,
harley
