The air you put in a tire out of a regular air compressor is already around 78% nitrogen.
Putting nitrogen in street cars and bikes is not worth the money as you will see no difference other than pressure fluctuation. If you race, go for it. You can maintain the same pressure as you tires heat up.

I've had access to nitrogen for years now and used it on the slicks at the drag strip for consistency. The only reason I did it then was because it was free. Still yet I saw no difference since there are so many other variables when you consider the track changing, air, air temp, track temp, oil, water, etc.

In summary, if it's free go for it. If you have to pay for it, enjoy your snake oil.

truth.

some ran it when we use to race carts for the fact that the pressure would not increase as the tires got hotter and was suppose to keep the chassis set up more consistant durring the race.

he gets it for free...

on a lighter note... please do that little research... weigh your wheel/tire combo with air, then do the same with nitrogen with the same pressure... and see if there's a diffrerence in weight... IF SO, its worth it just to reduce Unsprung weigh...

use helium.

same concept, inert gas not much expansion due to heat.

or that... I'm pretty sure helium will def reduce unsprung weigh... meaning FASTER acceleration, turn in, more ability to slalom and corner ingeneral... the only problem would be finding out if your wheels or tires would corrode any faster or become weak because of whatever propeties are found in helium... who knows..

alright, so helium would be lighter, apparently it goes through rubber quicker than other gasses and has bad affects on some metals.

you wil still see a flucuation in air pressure unless you have a bleeder valve like on race rims that are meant to bleed air out as you put nitrogen in the air in the tire will remain unless you have a way to bleed it out there for expanding and contracting just like it always did!!

for the system we have we pull the core, let all air out. Then we have to pull the tire into a vacumm. Then we fill the tire with the nitro. i will keep you updated on the weight's of the 2 different test.

thanks guys.
