Default new rider...insurance help and advice

ok so im lookin to start riding...i want to pick up like a 94ish cbr600...I am 17 with no riding experience(except parkin lots and my neighborhood)...i DO have a PERFECT driving record...i do not have a permit yet as i will be gettin one soon...do u think i can even GET insurance...i will prolly go liability only...any suggestions?

why dont u just call the insurance agencies and ask them......we dont know what they gonna qoute you with, everyone is different for some odd reason. i did have geico but statefarm was way cheaper for me(because i knew the insurance agency guy personally) but thats irrevlant to obsolute shit because as i said before everyones different..so call and find out...and dont use internet, over the phone or in person they always try to find u discounts. and yea they will insure you...if they see u as a risk they just gonna jack u da fuk up

More than likely without a permit or license they will not insure you. State Farm asks if you have a license and photo-copies it.

but if i go get a permit it will be easier to get insured..but my dad does have a friend through allstate that has been sellin us insurance for quite a while now...thats my best bet i think..thx for the help

I'm not sure how old you are, but why don't you go take the MSF and get a license if you're interesting in motorcycling?

i was 43$ a month for just liability for my 04 R1 when i was 17 from progressive but that was under my moms name
