Default motorcycle techs?

Is it a big job to replace the shift shaft assembly on a 99 YZF600. Is there anybody on here that would be intreasted in doing the job? How much do you think it would cost. Thanks for all the help.

i'm not 100% sure on that particular bike, but most shift shafts don't require much work to get them out. there's usually a clip that has to be removed from the shifter end of the shaft, then the clutch cover, clutch, and some misc things (depends on the bike) have to be removed, then you can get the shaft out. it's not too much work, but if you're not comfortable doing it, give me a shout, we can work something out, i'm sure.

how'd the shaft get damaged anyway?
