Well, unfortunately the wealth of misinformation is often due to the fact that the law makers make the legality so blurry and up to the officers discretion. Law is based on interpretation in Virginia more than anywhere else in my opinion... I wish they would just lay it out there!

I had a cop told me once that this is a Commonwealth State, so if common sense tell you that you might be doing something wrong, you probalby are.
