military riders!!!??!!
My stepdad is in the Army and he told me i can go on base and take the motorcycle liscense class/test for free?
Is there any truth to that statement? or what do you have to be "active duty" or can dependents take this class as well?
and if his statement was true, who do i contact to sign up for this class?
He said i could just sign up and take the class and if i passed, there was also a free "advanced" rider class or something like that...
i dont live with him anymore, he lives in kentucky, but i still have my military ID and everything.
let me know the details please
Thanks alot.

Call the post operator and they will be able to provide you the number for the mortorcycle safety class. The class is free just tell them you need to get on post from time to time and your only means of transportation is a bike. It will also get you your liscence in va when you show the card to dmv.

if you take the class anywhere you dont have to get a permit right?
you just take the class and pass it, then go to DMV and BAM you got your license right?

No the BRC on base does not waive the DMV skills test.
if you take the paid BRC you get a certificate that you take to the DMV to waive skills test.

I'm not too sure about dependents being able to take it "for free". The Chair Force provides one on base occassionally. I took mine at TNCC and could have gottne reimbursed for it but never got around to it. As far as just taking the class and getting your license, I could see that happening. I already had my permit when I went through the class. Upon completion, the give you a DMV certificate signed by the MSF instructor. Just take it up to the DMV with your license and BAM, you get an M Class endorsement.

harley is more expensive i mean don't they go out on buells and crap on the street or something?
any way, i took it at the DMV in richmond and they ended up letting us ride around a parking lot for 2 days for like 50 bucks or something on these 250cc suzukis and hondas.
