Good luck! If they suspend your license request for a restricted one from the judge just so you can get to work and back, I've seen some people get one while I was in court for my ticket last year.
More info at the bottom of this page (http://www.dmv.org/va-virginia/suspended-license.php) and here (http://www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/c...dm/vadm1-8.asp).

Agreed. If you have a job that requires a lot of driving, you can even bend the rules to your favor.

Re: Luck!
Last year when i got a driving probabtion violation, they told me that Virginia does not allow restricted licenses, and just stuck me with a suspension. Hopefully they have changed that policy. Good luck

Re: Luck!
My friend had a restricted license so she could drive too work and back. Even had it included so she could drop off and pick up her daughter. She was convicted of doing 75 in a 25 in Caroline County. It was an obvious speed trap...55 mph to 25 mph in about 1/8th mile...
And before anyone starts slamming, saying she deserves it or something, I married that girl about 2 years later and we have had 2 more kids together!
And of course, good luck in court today!

Good luck. Dress up nice, shirt, tie, slacks, maybe even a sport coat if you've got one. Try to look like as much of an upstanding citizen as you can and be polite. From what I've heard, this can go a long way in court.
