A little technical help.
If I can get my bike running again, I can take a look at your bike.
It should only take me 2 hrs after work to remove the rest of the race fairings off and put the street stuff back on.

but the chain wouldn't cause lost traction either, it would be about the same as a clutch slipping only alot rougher sounding and feeling... i don't think he's actually losing traction as he'd definetly notice himself getting sideways, probably just feels like it since the revs are shooting up faster than road speed

if the clutch is slipping than i dont think you would lose traction when you open the throttle wide. If your clutch goes bad, you would probably not get all the power to the wheels and the clutch will have a hard time engaging.
i would go with the chain/tire theory.
Get someone to follow you to see if they can spot anytype of problem coming from the bike.

No no, ive had the problem for a while, i just thought that since it was the begining of the summer, that oil spots were on the ground and was causing me to lose traction. It wasnt until i road with you all that sunday and we all floored it at that light on Merc that i noticed none of you were 'losing traction' and i was. I say losing traction because thats what it feels like, but im sure to someone behind me, the tire stayed in complete contact with the ground the entire time, hence it probably being the clutch.
Ill just wait till the new sprockets and filter come in, change all the shit out, and ride it then, if the problem persists, then its definately the clutch, if it doesnt, well then, it was something, but it will be fixed
