Default Late 06 R1 models came with 07 engine?
I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this. I did a quick google search and didn't find anything on it.

I'm looking at purchasing a 2006 R1 and the owner is telling me that since it was made in late 06 Yamaha put on 07 plastics and the engine? I know they do have manufacture dates for current year model bikes which were made last year.

Doesn't really make any sense to me but hey I could be wrong.

well i own a 2000 civic that was built in 2001. and can only be scanned using the 2001 chip for the real obd2 scanner.

it's probably an 07 R1 and not an 06. check the vin number or the title.
