is it difficult to do wheelies on the new gsxr-600's? I mean, it seems that everyone that ive talked to about doing them - powering up in first - they have to really bounce it to get it off the ground.

yeah i have heard some people having problems with the wheelies on gixxer.com....check out some threads on there. but im not at that stage yet, almost

 

asy as shit to wheelie the new gixxers I can power mine up in first all day . power it up in 2nd and clutch it up in 3rd its all about technique.people that say these bikes do not wheelie are full of it almost all modern day supersports will wheelie..

The people who have problems powering them up aren't doing it right. You can't just crack it wide open at 4k rpms and expect it to jump up. Most also know nothing about body position. Naturally, they sit right on tank and try to do a wheelie...

 

This may be true, but if you compare the number of Ninja 500's to GSXR's, it's easily 20 GSXR's - 1 EX500 especially in our area (squid heaven).

 

pull in clutch, apply throttle, release clutch.... it's not that complicated, lord. most newer 600's make plenty of power. who's having trouble??

hell, i'm sure it'd power wheelie just fine too. run it up to about 7-8k rpm in first, chop the throttle and then smack it open again. it'll come up.

 

and then start a thread called "bad day"
