another good idea is to tie the loose end of the strap around the ratchet to make it that much harder to slip. the know would have to come untied in order for it to slip thru and loosen up.

always only needed 2 straps but every1 said the handle bars lol dont do that put them near the handle bars but strap to the forks.. anyways yea if you dont have a long board but a smaller one you can always put the back tire of the truckk into a ditch and always be alot closer to the ground that way lo... anyways good luck on your 1st bike its a whole different feeling...

that depends on the bars. tube style bars like i have on my 954 are fine to tie down to, but aluminum clip-ons, yeah, i wouldn't tie to them. usually i just loop the end of the tie down around the fork leg, over top of the lower triple clamp.

dude its a 500, 2 people should be able to lift that thing. shouldn weigh more then like 250-300 pounds? me and 2 friends lifted my tl1000 into a truck.

It can be done, i've lifted MUCH heavier bikes into trucks before. ramps are easier though.

yea id rather use a ramp for my small 50 cc bike then to pick it up haha...btw skrooz you wanna burrow the 50 for a week or two and play with it, all i ask is for a spring tune-up on it ^^

Alright went to the store got two tie downs and a 2x10x8 (about $16 total). Hopefully all will go well tommorow. I should post pics by the weekend and the rest of the story. Thanks for all the help.
