+1

The second time my bike was hit... the lady drove off... she turned herself in though. Clip on was bent, fairing stay cracked, tank dented, fairings scratched, signals scratched, mirror scratched, tail fairing scratched, engine cover scratched. Got a $3000 settlement check for the bike... got me some new performance parts, some new gear, custom power commander map, bought used parts to replace the damaged ones, sold the damaged ones, and still walked away with a healthy chunk of change in my pocket. My bike is all multi colored now.. but its all good. LOL.

Still rides awesome and is fast as shit.

I keep buying and selling parts for my bike with out ever installing them. I need to just put them on, I want to see how far I can take the 500 before she dies.

Fuck her. Report the hell out of it. She hit your bike and did nothing about it. You think she woud let you off if you knocked over her car?

Ya, um......I'm pretty confused. If I had video it would be a no brainer....

And a blanket statement of your insurance will not go up is frightening. Sure; if a report is filed and the cops find someone at fault; more than likely yes, your rates shouldn't go up. But be careful.....that shit depends on what company you have, the cops finding someone else at fault, yadda yadda.

Not every company, agent or policy is the same.........

I filed a police report yesterday. Do I/should I wait to hear back from them before filing a claim with the insurance company? Never really done this before...

no... call your insurance company now and get the ball rolling... tell them what you have and they should assist you with everything that you need to do.

You should have a police report number right when you called; give it to the agent when you call your insurance company.
