Re: HIDs
^^^ I say let them hate. People who blow a headlight on their car run around with there high beams on so they dont get a equipment ticket.
And cagers just dont pay attention enough. I think thats why im constantly speeding on my bike, i like to be out in front of everyone, they need to see me. Ironically enough, i ride the speed limit when no one is around (late nights, early mornings).
You what is even funnier about the HID issue on a bike is, if the person doesnt like the glare they are getting in there rear view mirror, then just adjust it out of you face and use your side mirror and headchecks. Trucks are always hauling stuff and cant see out the back window, or a civic with 5 people cant see out the back window. A bike with hid's is only gonna be in 1 of 3 lane positions, all the cager has to do is adjust for the time being and let the bike pass at first chance.

Re: HIDs
You guys are missing my point; riding or driving around with your high beams on is illegal and very dangerous to other drivers.
I know I speed, I know I do stoppies............ass-hats driving around with high beams on is just one of my pet peeves.............I can't stand it.
Either get some glasses, learn how to drive, or don't drive at night if you feel the need to have your high beams on constantly.
Jacked up trucks who don't have their headlights re-aligned are just as guilty of this. That's why I miss the headlight alignment part of the state inspections they used to have here..................
You having your high beams on isn't gonna make you any more visible to me than you were before; it's just gonna irritate me.
Now let's discuss overly loud slip-ons for the purpose of cagers "hearing" you better..........................

Re: HIDs
actually it is recommended by the DMV to have high beams on during the day. during the night i don't use my high beams. I just wanted to clarify that. Having high beams during the day is not illegal ON A BIKE.
You're comparing apples to oranges when it comes to high beams with a car and a bike. A single light is very hard to decipher as far how far it is from you. A car with two lights is easier to gauge how far it is from you. That argument is kinda moot imo.

Yeah dude, they are very legal during the day. It helps to increase a cagers visibility of you.

Re: HIDs
they look good if you do it right and just dont slap them in there. You'll need to shield the beam so it makes a smooth straight line along a wall. It should have no glare comming from them. Make sure the kit comes with a shield and the right bulb either a d2r bulb or a d2s. I'm pretty sure for NON projector housings you use the d2r bulb. Either way you'll never get the beam 100% right without glare unless you have projector housings.
Im glad i got projectors, shits are gonna look hot when mine come in
