HID help!!!
hey everyone i've installed a HID kit on my bike. It looks amazing!! Installed the low and highbeam, only problem is that i cant swich one the high beam as soon as i turn on the bike so, i have to wait a min to turn it on, then it works. Its been working good for me the whole week, then all of a sudden my lights go out on the road!!!:dontknow: its around 2 pm. so im lucky its not @ night! . No problem i'll just wait till i get home to fix it. I take out the HID kit put the oem bulb back in and... nothing.... None of my lights work, low or high beam.. And the fuse is good. I dont know what the problem is. I did tap the ballast and it did come on but that was when it wasnt working the 1st time. Can you guys give me any idea what it could be??
Cliff notes..
*installed HID kit
*worked good for a week
*KIT no worky anymore
*put in old light bulb
*still no worky
*check fuse....good:thumbsup:
*WTF???

Re: HID help!!!
it might, but not always. should have run the HID's thru a relay, using the stock wiring to trip the relays. you're in for all kinds of fun trying to find the break in the harness. probably easier to just start from scratch and run all new wiring, with relays, and a bigger guage power/ground lead.

Re: HID help!!!
I dont think you should have put a higher fuse in there. Sounds like some fried wires. Just use the 10amp fuse and try it again if the wire is not gone.
