I need to pick up the last of my gear. Prolly wont get these for like another month but, I'm debating between getting some armor jeans or Icon's Field Armor leg protection

I was set on getting Icon's thing but then I though, when you crash you’re probably gonna roll around on your hip, side, but, so maybe they wont really help as much as jeans???. Please don't tell me to buy leathers I'm not, I’m just trying to decide between armor jeans or Icons armor. The jeans (Icon, Draggin...) run around $100 and Icon armor is like $65. So which one do you think would work best? I'm thinking buy jeans now, then later buy the Icon armor. But if you had to choose one, which one would you choose. Thanks for helping a newb!

do not get the icon leg armor unless your legs fit there mold. meaning you have well shaped legs.
As for the pants. Draggin jeans, Shift Torque(want these bad), Teknic Rage (what i have now) are good ones. but this is what you should get:

Gives you full lowerbody protection and no need to buy new jeans

too hot for pants-sweat makes ur legs stick to pants especially when sitting on the tank doing wheelies-i just wear shorts and try to stay on my feet when i crash.

I know it's summer, but you will always find me with gear on. I have a First Gear Speed jacket and pants. Both are partial leather and have built in armor. I only sweat when I stop, so I don't stop often!

If it's down to the jeans or armor, get the jeans. The armor pants AF is talking about would be great also, since you could wear them over shorts or jeans, depending on the weather. I bought the A4 back protector from the and it's been great so far. I haven't actually had to see how well it works, but it doesn't bother me and the quality is good, especially for $40!!

I am actually thinking about getting the jeans myself for those days when I am just going to hang out at the BP or not ride hard. I worry more about the other drivers out there than my own skills anyway.

i just got those armor shorts today, wearing them as i type (Now that you have an image of me typin away with my junk secured)they are not bad. now i have to get some leg armor since now i have racing boots to wear as i ride now...

and ya, i would say get the jeans, I've heard of lot of good reviews of them, I need to get them as soon as I get another bike, I only slid about 15feet when i lowsided earlier this year at like 10-15mph and tore them up along with the skin off of my knee

Alright jeans it is, what AFWest posted is nice but like I said I want either jeans or things that I can put under jeans (like icon's armor). I still might invest in the icon thing too, then I can swicth btwn them, and not wear the same jeans everyday.
