interstate+90mph+faceshield left up+turning head= no more faceshield....happen twice in my riding career..tell me your stories!

 

Mine slam's closed anywhere after 60mph.

i ride with mine up all the time, dunno why, just more comfortable. i usually have sunglasses on anyway, so i'm not as worried about crap in my eyes.

and yeah, had one break off when i turned my head once, but i was only doing about 50mph.

 

Mine actually broke off last week. I have a gift certificate somewhere to a cycle shop. So till i find it...i'm riding with sunglasses and clear glasses till I find it.

Anywhooo

I was going bout 60 with my glasses on...shield up....and it slammed shut (scared the $hit out of me) and every time after that it would slam shut...then i turned my head once going 55 and bye bye face shield..( just bought it too)

 

huh I never had that problem. I ride with it up quite a bit too though, really dumb for the most part but I like the wind.

 

i have shields that i can have a slight crack so air can get in
but if i am on the highway the shield is full down

 

I keep my shield down if Im moving anywhere above 30.
