Default exhaust question...

Been thinking alot lately about making a megaphone slip-on for my bike so that people can hear me because we all know people here motorcycles before they see them. I have a factory cat on my bike and my stock muffler bolts to that. I am planning on making a straight pipe to come right off the cat and do away with the muffler. I know there wont be any power gains and thats honestly not what I am looking for anyways. Will it have any negative affect on my motor running my bike without a muffler, just a pipe in it's place after the factory cat?

Well you will deff. hear it. But it will prob run a bit shitty and have some dead spots with maybe a slight gain ontop. I would not advise it though bc that open without proper fueling you could still end up to lean esp. up top and if you have a filter..then you risk burning valves and shit like that..although not common it can happen..i have seen new bike run shitty without fueling even with something like a yosh r-55..just save up some money and get some quality stuff and do it right the first time. Get you a good quality( loud if you want) pipe,BMC filter and a Power commander with a good tune. Even if you are not looking to make power you should still do it right..the small power increase will just be an added bonus!
