my buddy has a 04 r6 and wanted to know whats the best exhaust and whats the diff between short and long? i said short is better for stunting but idk too much about bike...

the biggest difference i would guess is the sound... then the weight.. short=louder and lighter. (DUH)

Here's what I did to my '04 a couple years back. I cut the stock pipe in half, riveted it back together, and flat blacked it. That bitch sounded mean.

It is 50% personal opinion and 50% what makes proven power! Search actual dyno sheets and see which one makes the best power across the board..... thats the one id go with. But then again, most people around here go for looks rather than what makes power.....

Just tell him to get what he likes....I dont think he will notice the .5 hp gain from one to another esp if he doesnt have a filter and pc....
