Dragon RT129 Deals Gap Closed
Rock slides from the snow and recent rain have shut down deals gap. Currently DOT lists it as not being open till the end of July. More information can be found on killboys site or any of the sites dedicated to the Dragon.

Damn, I made it there two years ago, but last year I couldnt because my son was born in May. I had arranged with a buddy in Franklin, NC to come down in June and go again this year. I AM DISAPPOINT!

I'd imagine a lot of the roads in that area are also closed, plus, the more roads that are closed the higher the police presence is on the remaining roads that are open and it may not be as fun as it was.

Yeah I'll still go. 28 is sick. It'scalled the Hellbender. It runs from Franklin to The Dragon. Then there's the waterfall run in Franklin. Lots of sick roads around there I have 3 buddies that are local so last time we spent most of the time doing other roads and just spent a day at the dragon in the middle of the week. We'll probably do the same this time and just stick to the other roads.
Most of the other good roads dont have shoulders and pull offs like the Dragon does forcops to hide on. The waterfall run is like a lane and a half wide LOL.

Killboy says all the other roads are awesome, and if you can sneak onto the dragon its completely clear on the 11 mile stretch itself. There are LEO posted at either end though so you have to get their permission.
