Did anyone know the guy who was killed 2 days ago?
A Navy sailor was killed in a motorcycle crash in Virginia Beach on Tuesday night, police said.
The crash happened at 7:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of Newtown Road, said Officer Margie Long. High speed was a factor, she said.
Long identified the man killed as Clinton Brian Haywood, 25, of the 900 block of Caribe Place in Virginia Beach. He was stationed at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base, Long said.
Haywood was headed north on Newtown Road when he lost control, ran off the road and hit a fence, she said.
The crash did not involve any other vehicles.
Haywood’s body was to be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Norfolk for an autopsy, Long
