The Cruisin’ Virginia Beach Auto & Motorcycle Super Show
FWIW, the boardwalk show is cool if you're not concerned about the trophy and you're not paranoid about people touching your car. You park on the boardwalk and unless you sit next to your ride all day asking people to please not touch, it's going to get touched. The "promoter" of this show changes hands every year (the car club councils and city don't see eye to eye and different folks step up each year with the best of intentions and are subsequently kicked in the nuts for their efforts, so rarely does the same group do it twice), so the way it's run is inconsistent, judging and classing can be wacky, and it has more than it's fair share of aggravations. That said, if you're down for spending your day hanging at the beach looking at cool cars (the majority of which will be classics and musclecars), you'll enjoy this show. If you're competitive with the trophies and hyper-critical of the judging process, or impatient when it's time to leave (the city is strict about cars moving on the boardwalk because of pedestrians - so once you're parked, you're committed for the day) - you're going to be frustrated. Also, there are usually no more than four or five bikes at this show because it has always happened the same weekend as the bike rally at the Trav-L-Park, so if you're going for the bike part you'll probably be disappointed. YMMV.
sooooooo... new info on this show.
turns out my shop is now running the bike show portion of it.
we have 8 blocks of the boardwalk reserved for bikes only. classes will be posted when i get home from work tonight. (no kellie, there is no cafe class, lol).
we have a bunch of bikes lined up already, of all shapes and sizes. so i guess it's gonna be alot bigger for the bikes than in previous years. if anyone is seriously interested, let me know if you can, just trying to get a general idea of who all is going to show.
the bad part..... b/c i work for the shop handling the bike portion.. i can't friggin enter (though my bike will be on display), so ya'll fuggers have a chance, lmao!
winner in every class wins money. bikes will be allowed in the burnout competition. winner of the burnout comp gets all the money from it's entry fees, however much that is i guess will depend on how many people enter. again, i can't friggin enter, which sucks, i was gonna burn that bish till the rim was sparkin
and it's not the same weekend as the bigger show, so attendance should be alot better than previous years too.
just a heads up.

honda cars? yeah, i entered my juiced civic hatch the first year they had this show. pretty much all custom cars are welcome. i'm just dealing with the bike part though.
no cafe class, wouldn't be enough entrants.
my shop does ALOT of promo stuff, shows, stuff like that, so i'd have to assume that's why we got the call. that, and we're only 4 blocks from the boardwalk, lol.
