Hey guys, any of you fine upstanding gentlemen have a chain cutter/riveting tool? and/or time to help me lower and stretch my bike? could use some extra hands.. thanks!!

ya, I got the chain breaker and rivet tool you can use. Never stretched a bike before though. Doesnt look like your too close to richmond either. Shame your not closer.

Cheap option is to pick up the chain breaker @ Harbor Freight tools ($10-$15) and use a box-end wrench and vice grips to press the master link together. Once the master link is set, use a punch to CAREFULLY flare out the rivets. Just did it on my R1, worked great. If you dont want to buy a chain tool, use a dremel and grind off the rivets of an existing chain link to break the chain. DO NOT break the chain until after you've loosened the counter shaft nut if you're replacing sprockets!

I broke down and bought the RK chain break tool. im not replacing sprockets. im going 6" over stretch to make room to stash the bottle in the swingarm
