I just recently purchased a 06 Vstar 1100 and it has idling issues and is sluggish when under power. The previous owner was in the military and the bike sat for quite some time. So i suspect the gas went bad and gummed up the carb, but i don't know how to work on it.


I would be willing to put some cash forward for the help, and i would be doing the work as I like to learn.

Greenbrier.....I ended up taking it to Cycleworld for an overhaul

 

what did they charge you to remove, take apart, clean, reassemble, install, sync, and adjust air/fuel mixture?

 

it was 400 all together. the also, lubed all cables, adjusted them and oil changed and topped off all fluids as well as adjusting my valve clearance...

Bike was totally different when I got it back

 

Not a bad price for a shop actually
