Re: Bike Loan Question ?
I've never even ridden a bike but can tell you to buy a brand new bike regardless of whether or not it's a 250 to start out is stupid. Buy an old beat up 250 to learn on..then spend your money on a good bike once you know how to ride.

Re: Bike Loan Question ?
If you want a new bike, get a new bike, your the one riding it, dont listen to the guys on here. As for the loan you can have your parents get a motorcycle loan, or just get a cash loan. If nothing else, it will help you establish credit. Just be responsible, and dont get in over your head with money or bike size. Just look at the R.I.P's for this year alone on the site.

Re: Bike Loan Question ?
See if your parents will allow you to take a loan out through them. When I bought my car, my mom did some credit card check (promotional thing) made out to me, and after I paid for the car in cash (mom's money), I paid her back over time. If you did decide to get an older 250, there are a couple Ninjas being sold on here for under $2,000.
Edit: There WERE older 250s on here for under $2,000. Just sold.
