2001 Yamaha R6 4k miles red/white/black, frame sliders, bar ends, YZF grips, Remus Carbon high mount exhaust, Vance & Hines low mount exhaust, undertail, Dunlop 208gp race tires, polished lips on rims, carbon tank guard and a Scotts platnium steering stabilizer. Bike runs and looks 110% asking $5800 obo.

He'd kill himself on that; If you've never rode before, you should start small. I have a buddy that was going to sell me his 05' (i think) Suzuki GS550 for 4200, however my new baby boy said otherwise.. lol

i never rode bikes before. just got a gixxer 600 two weeks ago. as long as you dont get stupid you can start on any bike you want.

Last Motorcycle shop I went to wasnt selling anything called a beginner bike.

Just pick out what you like and buy it, they will only go as fast as you twist the throttle and make them go.

i agree,i learned to ride on a 10 foot long chopper with to much power and no brakes!!did i mention that it doesnt turn either.

I think he'd be better off starting on a turbo + nitrous Hayabusa. I think it would make for the most user friendly motorcycle, or at least for a new rider. They're so light and nimble, it really makes for a great first bike.. but because they're so slow and he could use some more power, the turbo and nitrous would more than make up for that. He MIGHT even be able to keep up with an average 600 with the extra power adders.
