glad to see a more unbiased video from them... their last one had a base model 911 beating a r1 and then they are like "well that settles the arguement, cars are faster than bikes"

 

how the hell did a 911 beat an R1? Must have been a setup depending on the test

 

Nah, i saw it too. It wasnt setup, the 911 just had more traction in the corners.

 

yea all things equal on the right course a car will own a bike, just so much more rubber for braking and turning... but then take it to another course and it will be the opposite, they chose a course that favored a car and not only that they put them out at the same time, like the guy on the bike would pass a 3000 lbs car on a narrow track, and it was only one lap... a bunch of mags and tv shows did a joint test i saw a part of with a pretty much stock gsx-r 1000, a british superbike spec gsxr 1000, a murciellago and a i forget what, but some crazy roofless street legal race car type thing, it looked pretty thorough

 

The last video was gay from the start. No warm up time for the R1's tires............and they were on the track at the same time. I think I'd be a little cautious if I was on a track with a car.

The guy that was on the R1 didn't even drag a knee, he rode it like a puss.

 

Havent you guys seen the article with the Z06 vette against the R1 I think it was? or maybe gsxr1k, regardless, a liter bike.. the drive has raced bikes and car, and he took them both out for several laps to get the best times.. the bike was WAY faster, 6-15 mph faster in just about all of the turns, not to mention straight away speeds.. it wasn't even close lol..

he pushed both to their limits.. or his i guess you could say(when it comes to the bike hehe)
