anybody good at polishing bike frames and parts
yea im lookin to get my gsxr 1000 polished, but want to find someone who is good at it, i dont want to see sand marks or anything
i used to do ALOT of polishing. it's not hard, but man, it's friggin time consuming, and it'll tear your fingers all to hell to do it right. there's a guy over by the vb central library that does polishing out of his house, someone here has to know how to get ahold of him. if not, give me a call, and i can get the guys number, i just don't have it in front of me at the moment.
i'd say i'd do it, but for that kinda work, i'd have to charge enough to make it worthwhile for me...
what all do you want polished? frame? swingarm?subframe?

Don't do it we live by the ocean you'll spend 99.99% of your time re-buffing your pollished bike than actually riding. I polished my frame and rims about 5 years ago and never again.

he's got a point. i had a bike that i polished EVERYTHING on, and i spent more time cleaning it than riding it. every bike i've owned since then has been powdercoated.
I can barely keep my black rims clean i cant imagine chrome or polished ones. people with chromes rims just must not ride much or something. I ride all day and all night got 4200 in month and half
chrome is easy to keep clean. a lil windex and a hose, and it's good to go. (not that i'm a fan of chrome) polished is a p.i.t.a. unless you clear over it, but like alvin said, it takes away some of the shine.
as smooth as the frame has to be to get a good shine putting clear over it will cut down shine and sumtimes hard for the clear to stick!....ive seen cases were the clear turns kinda yellowish and its harder to take clear off than rebuff than to just rubb aluminum polish on it
