Our club will be doing a track day (Saturday) with Team ProMotion at Carolina Motorsports Park in S. Carolina during Thanksgiving weekend. It's our third year doing this shindig..............

No bike requirements.............but it must pass a safety inspection. Brakes work, accelerator pops back into place. Good tires, yadda yadda yadda.......

If you're gonna run the advanced group your bike must be safety wired anywhere there is liquid behind a fastener.

180 for the trackday......it might be more now because it's later.

I believe they are running both Saturday and Sunday..............get there before 7am.

You should get 3-4 sessions in the morning and 4-5 sessions in the afternoon.

sounds pretty good. what about first timers? ive been riding for a while, but never out on a track? or is that a experienced riders only?

 

If you've never been to a track before TPM will require you to take their little intro class.


......................or you could just lie to them and claim that you have done previous track days with other organizations.


The Beginner group is reallllllllly lax and slow. You can ONLY pass on the outside in a turn.

I forgot to mention in the previous post that you will need to take off your mirrors and tape up your head/tail lights and blinkers.
