are these going to last a shorter amount of time than the old pilot powers with the dual compound?

Its the same tire. 2ct is 2 compound technology or something along those lines.

 

I think it's actually a new version. It's been in every motorcycle for the past few months.

 

ll----ll <---thats my tire . now picture the ll being the edge of the tire and the ---- being the center. The 2ct technology put racing compound where the ll is and a normal pilot power street compound where the ---- is. It's essentially a tire you can ride to the track on, race on, and ride back home on. A performance tire that you can get into on the twisties and ride out to them on the highway fine. and pirelli just came out with essentially the same design on the new corsa lll's (corsa 3's)

 

They last about 3,000 miles just read up on them

 

yeah, i was just concerned with the second compound being softer on the outside for obvious reasons which usually would wear quicker...they sound pretty nice though. thanks everyone
