wtb ls1 bare block
i know i should post here but i want to try here since i wanted to find one around here, the engine i have is a 00 c5 vette so i just want a spare block to get sleeved
so if any one have a one let me know !!!

not starting off but end up around 1000-1200whp, just a goal to try for , i know we can push 4bangers hondas to 6-700whp alllday now so i wouldnt think a for a v8 that shouldnt be to hard,, i just plan to make around 7-800whp to start off with

Gonna have to scrap the whole LS1 setup for 1K-1.2Krwhp; no way in hell you will keep the heads down. Gonna have to spend the big coin on an LSX block and heads. Your LS1 block only 4 bolts/cyl to hold the heads down. The 7-800 is very do-able, and quite do-able without needing sleeves or a stroker crank.

MIGHTYMOUSE made 995rw at PAS with a stock LS2 block, but it lifted the heads at that level. I have never heard of any sleeve issues on these blocks to be honest; the issue on the LS1/LS2s are pickuping the heads up with cylinder pressure. 700rwhp can be done with a stock-inch LS1 on pump gas if you have your schizz together.

If you do go with a ls1 block, be sure to pick up a 99-01 block.
