^^ 5 mile bridge? I been threw manteo a bunch to go down south nc to bodyboard down rt 12 but never saw a 5mile bridge haha thats long as hell

 

going to NC? go 17S. just across the border there is a long ass straight with fields on both sides, one slight bend easily taken at high speed (posted is 70)

they have since built an overpass with a wal mart shopping center though.. so the road isnt as bare as it used to be.

 

^^ oh Na I know where a walmart is but its about 45 min past the boarder.. A really good straight away is rt 12 when You get between all the lil towns bc not many cars and all it is sand dunes on both sides ....

 

RT 12 is the beach road. The bridge is actually past Manteo. Don't turn right into Manteo, go past it toward 64 west. You can't miss it. Even if you pass a cop, it's all good. NO SPLITS IN THE BARRICADE.

 

^^ oh I dont worry about cops anyways on the bike , they cant keep up I have tried a few times and everytime didnt have a problem leaving them.. Thats the biggest rush you will ever have is running on a bike from a cop.... That and Dropping in on a big ass wave, with a few big sets behind it. lol

 

Just be on the lookout for a SS Camaro State Trooper cruising 158 and the Kitty Hawk/Currituck bridge. I just moved away, but before I left he was drilling people all day. Also one summer a week they have State Troopers that ride BMW motorcycles who have nothing but quota on their minds.

haha I dont ride my bike down there, I only drive bc when i go down I go to bodyboard and surf. But yeah I try to take it easy with my suspended license
