the official rule is 13.99 or faster and you have to wear a helment.
i ran faster than that though and noone ever made me since it was test and tune so i guess theyre lenient. but def bring one in case.

 

I went tonight and couldn't be more dissatisfied Very few people I knew were hooking up. I spun badly all 4 of my runs and my 60 fts stayed in the 2.01 to 2.10 range leaving at 2K and flashing the converter the other 1500. Now, I full realize that I have more work to do to the car but damn. There just wasn't any "street car" style hook out there for me tonight

 

heh im not breaking the 13's due to no tuning...ill ust go next time ide burn a tank of gas just getting there.

 

u wont break 13's yet you would have beat the probe. BAHAHAHAHA

 

Yea, that's pretty funny huh? I didn't get out to the track until 12:15 and they were closing the test & tune lines at 12:30 so I didn't run

 

I hooked up just fine till my rear broke. 1.53 60 foot on MT drag radials. I was in the white LT1 TA. That was my first run ran 11.53, next run I broke the diff.

 

Yeah there were some cars with more parts on them out there hooking better for sure. I know now that I need my LCA's and subs on the car more than ever. I was just hoping for the converter to show it's benefits a little better, but it looks like it's getting absorbed in chassis twist and wheelhop instead..GRRRRR...oh well, so much for doin shit on a budget. Thank God I finally landed a good paying job so I can throw some more parts at this car =)

I was running in the low 13's without a helmet and they didnt gig me.

 

It just varies. I was running 13.50's in my GT and they yelled at me about not wearing it, even though, at the time, IHRA rules read that any vehicle trapping 100+ mph required a helmet and my car was only trapping 99.
