VMP and rules??
Has anyone gone and how are they enforcing the rules?
I know that now if you run a non OE power adder, the NHRA makes you wear a single layer fire jacket.
Section 1A, located on page 24 of the 2006 NHRA Rulebook read as follows:
10.00 (*6.40 1/8 mile) and slower; all E.T. non-OEM supercharged, non-OEM turbocharged, or nitrous-equipped cars with an OEM or .024-inch steel firewall: Jacket meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/1 mandatory
In addition any car running over 135 mph will have additional requirements so please ask if you think you will be in that area.

I have a couple buddy's with Stang's running nitrous and S/C, both in the 11's, and neither have been required to wear a fire jacket. Just a cage and a helmet. I might depend on the "tech" inspector too. Usually pretty loose there. Just tell them you're hoping for 13's and you'll do fine.
i know theyre not too strict on the rules at big events.(figures when they should be theyre not) NOPI is suppose to require those cut off cord things for bikes (no i dont remember the proper name for them), but our tech let us pass after we claimed it was on its way there with someone else.
