Supposedly word has it that VMP will go back to being a NHRA track in 2006.

 

what's the difference? other than .5 seconds on a couple safety regulations?

 

When NHRA comes to town, you'll see a shitload of 6 second and faster cars, compared to just a few. And they'll probably make more money as an NHRA track.

 

John Force, Tony, Cruz and frank Pedregon, Whit Bazemore, Doug and Scott Kalitta,Tony Schumacher(worlds fastest Top fuel), Warren johnson and cars that are just faster more thrilling to watch than the IHRA. Low 6 second et@275 mph verse 4.4@336 mph.

 

They have to rebuild the track to in order for NHRA to come back. So yeah we should see a better track, better racing, and better prep of the track. and maybe better management.They will roll out Barrels of VHT for the track when NHRA is in town which makes it nice for anyone with traction problems.

 

Didn't they lose nhra because of some dip in one of the lanes? That is what I heard and was wondering, it will be cool if powerade series comes back. I wonder if it will take a few years to get it back though?

 

2006 is when they will be back.

 

I liked it better as an IHRA track Not that I go to vmp anymore anyway. That place could be better run by a pack of monkeys.

 

Hopefully they will get their head out of their asses when they become a NHRA track....Not likely..LOL.

 

I REALLY hope this would actually happen, but I doubt it.
