PUNCH! Sketch Comedy - Jan 21 (Fri)
PUNCH! plays this Friday night at 10pm for $10 a seat.
P!SC is a sketch comedy group (sketch comedy is like SNL or MadTV) that aims towards a more adult crowd. We use improv to form a lot of our sketches sometimes approach being controversal, so if your easily offended, maybe sit this one out.
This show features the 45 minute showcase that we're taking to the Miami Improv Festival followed by an intermission, then 45 minutes of improv and new material.
This past weekends show was amazing. The audience was packed and loved it. We had shows in Fredericksburg on the 7&8 and both nights sold out. This is our last show in Richmond untill we go to Miami because we are performing in the Miami Improv Festival. After that we go to DC for the DC Comedy Fest to perform in their invitational Improv Jam.
PUNCH! has had articles in 4 newspapers in the past month. Including Richmond Times Dispatche's "Critics' picks", The Fredericksburg Free Lance Star had a full page article on us including a full sized photo, The Front Porch (the artsy paper in Fredericksburg) had us in their best bet section, and Style Weekly did an article on us in their "Night" section with full sized photo.
We're performing at Comedy Alley which is in Richmond on Staples Mill and Broad. Call 266-9377 for directions and reservations. Reservations are strongly suggested because yesterday we had over double the reservations and there wasn't an empty table. Also we recommend comming fairly early to ensure you get a good seat. Comedy Alley serves a full menu and beer.
