That contractor tells CBS 6 it received "200-300 claims per year for roadways we maintain in Virginia". That includes portions of Interstates 95, 85, 64, 295, 195 and State Highways 76, 150, 288 in and around Richmond.

The company adds "Each claim is thoroughly researched and reviewed. Payments are made on those claims where our company is deemed liable." If your car was damaged as a result of hazardous road conditions, such as potholes, you may be able to receive reimbursement if the owner of the road or the responsible contractor is deemed negligent in addressing the problem prior to the time you encountered it.
