just head up to home depot and get a new one, the ones around here stock fasteners in multiple hardness/stress ratings

Check Sears first. They sell them for a pretty reasonable price. I think you can just buy the exact size you need too. If that doesn't work, check Advance Auto parts, Autozone, or Pepboys. Any of them loan tools out. They may loan out tap and dye. Not sure?! But, it'd be worth a try and maybe help you get this accomplished a bit quicker. GL. Hope this helps!
