a nine inch is overkill in a fox...... the 7 1/2 is a POS ( destroyed one with my stock 302)..... an 8.8 is just right. by the way you don't need fatty's to go fast in a fox. a 10 1/2 tire will get you going faster than many of the cars here in tidewater

There are plenty of guys running some decent power through a 7.5". I'd say you got a bad one. Granted I wouldn't go running slicks and 300+rwhp with one, but they're cheap, come with good gearing and serve ya well in a pinch.

Just my opinon.....

I made over 150 mid 12 second passes on a 7.5" in my old coupe. Granted it was an auto and not a stick, that makes a difference.

i destroyed mine in a 1-2 shift on street tires...... I don't mind a 7.5 but i am not going to sink any money into one when it breaks.
