my parents are looking to buy a house and just had it inspected, but would like to get certain things in the house re-inspected.

specifically, they need to get repair estimates made on these things (by tuesday afternoon):

- a licensed GE appliance dealer to look at a broken kitchen oven (error message at temps above 290, and bake mode doesn't work).

- a licensed Bosch dealer to look at a dishwasher (abnormally noisy).

- and a licensed electrician who has repair permits to give an estimate on converting an european outlet to an american standard in a laundry room.

 

It'll be tough to get someone out there on that short of notice.
Your parents should just ask for the replacement costs for the appliances if they can't get someone out there in time.
I'd say they're looking roughly in the thousand dollar ballpark.
And the outlet will be a couple hundred to do.

 

yeah, i figured it was too short notice. but the previous estimate totaled about $800 for all three of those items.

and i can't seem to find any authorized dealers/service for those appliances (parents want "expert" evaluation for those things).

 

yeah 800 for the appliances and new socket but I assure that doesn't include installation

apparently the current owners of the house are german or swedish or something, set the oven to celcius and never secured the dishwasher. everything's been fixed except for the european electrical outlet.
