Hows everyone after the storm?
I'm in Blacksburg for my annual schooling, I saw some pics of Richmond on the news and it looked pretty bad. I was just wondering how things are back home and if everyones alright.

Re: Hows everyone after the storm?
What gets me is the people complaining that the floodwall should have been closed. Dumbasses. Where would the water go that was flowing downhill *into* Shockoe Bottom?
Other thing that got me was that the governor never allowed the RMA to turn off the tollbooth collections. Sure, the RMA had the responsibility to notify travellers that the main tollbooth was closed, but they did not have the authority (can only be granted by governor or state legislature) to turn off collections at all other points, so U-turn people got hit twice.
Edit: Same governor that raised sales taxes to 5% (starts today) and prevented the elimination of the car tax even though taxpayers have been contributing to a huge budget surplus. Stupid democrats.
