How much do cops know?
if you get pulled over and they let you go with a verbal warning, does that show up on the computer when they run you're name in the computer? Do they have a record of how many times that you have been pulled you up in the system, or do they just have a record when you recieve a written warning / ticket? say you've gotten 5 verbal warnings, if you get pulled again is there any history of the previous 5?
Actually, everytime you get pulled over AND the LEO runs your plates, it is recorded in the departments local system. The only thing that other jurisdictions will see is what you have been actually written for.

"License and Registration"
"Here"
"Did I pull you over two weeks ago?"
"Uhhh...."
In Illinois and Missouri the cops had a system down for repeat warnings. Whenever they gave you a written warning, they put a staple through your drivers license and then removed it, leaving a single hole (one leg of the staple). The next time you got pulled, if you have several holes in your license, you automatically got the ticket.
No more guessing, if you had the holes, you were getting the ticket regardless.
