I'd like to put on a winter meet but I dont get back till Dec. 20th and I only got 14days till I have to return to base. So I wont be able to organize it but if someone else wants to put one on I'll mos definately be there.

well when I got there wednesday I found out that my job (25Q) is being phased out in a year instead of 4 years like I thought. When I get back Im going to see if I can go ahead and re-class, cause to me there isnt much point to spend 17 weeks learning a job that by this time next year wont be here and i'll have to re-class anyway.

 

Well don't do infantry. Sounds cool. Totally overrated. I'd suggest maybe armorer.

 

yea fixing weapons would be pretty fun to do. I think I was one of the jobs I had come up when they put in my scores.

 

Unless things have changed, the unit armorer is part of 92Y...unit supply clerk. In most units, it's not a full time job but an additional duty so there may be someone with another MOS filling the slot since they always have open slots for supply clerks and they are overworked. Unit armorers don't do much as far as fixing weapons, mainly just PMs and record-keeping. Weapons needing repairs are sent to maintenance where a 45B does the work.
