Which section of the 804 are you residing in?
How far are you willing to travel?

Cool, you're in my neck of the woods when I'm home, however I can't offer any good bar advice.

Tony's - Cox Rd by the water tower
Casa Grande - by the Short Pump Ukrop's
Mexico - corner of Broad and Cox opposite Starbuck's
Chen's - Nuckols Rd by the Food Lion
Alot of good restaurants at Stony Point

there are probably alot more small places that are amazing, but I can't remember.

As for bars, I personally like Tobacco Co., Martini Kitchen, and Mars Bar. I also hear Starlite and 3 Monkeys in the Fan are also good. If you're into that whole undergrad-y scene, check out Tiki Bob's or Banditos.

My favorite restaurants here are Strawberry Street Cafe, Mom Siam, Pho So 1, Comfort, and Jamaica House.

All of these are downtown or in the Fan.

I am not from richmond but I have been to Baily's a few times. That is on your end of town right off boad st. and its a pretty nice sports bar (they have pool tables as well).

All the places you mentioned are good...not the typical cookie cutter outback/mcdonald/fridays crap

You know wassup

And damn Im dying for some Pho man...and comfort is good!!

Im gonna add my 2 fav resteraunts..it changes monthly..lol

Hillcafe off the 28th st and broad
Amazing food and bar everything from fried catfish to filet mignon

http://www.thehillcafe.com

Croakers Spot
This is a classic....soulfood but they spealize in seafood.
Its located in the historic part of Jackson Ward
Shrimp and grits and Corn Bread are to dye for

There are many many excellent resteraunts in richmond
Especially in the downtown fan area and some in west end.
I hate chain resteraunts..boring to me but southside has alot of the chains if thats what your into.

And this place aint bad either

Basically you grill up your own food and its tastey
