How are the GC ones designed, are they a kit that use sleeves on the struts?

 

Yea, they slip on over the struts = illegal infact *most places won't pass them if they recoginize them on your car.

 

Yeah I can understand that. If they are properly made they won't break but the potential is there. Alot of people do that for the Volvos because there isn't much of an aftermarket and the advantages of coilovers are so huge. I figured they weren't legal, nice to know they definitely aren't and they won't get passed.

How are the cops now in farmville? Do they pull imports over for exhaust, etc.? I went to longwood a few years ago and I will be coming back from spring weekend, my 98 maxima is what I would like to drive but if the cops are too bad then I will just drive my 87 maxima.

 

You know i heard a rumor that people are starting to spray paint thier exhausts blk so they wont be noticable(angle turbo exhuasts on non turbo cars)


Anyone else hear or know anyone that did that?

 

yeah I have been thinking about this because, then the popo wont see the bling and will let you go. But I am not crazy on the way it looks.

yea nash pulled my tags like 6years ago. havent seen him since.

 

I had a run in with Nash too. My sunfire is bagged with Nc plates on them, and I was going throught the parking lot by taget on hull street and he pulled me because he said that my car bottemed out with it didnt cause the intersection is flat as a piece of paper. So when he pulled over he said my car was illegeal and it is only in va and if I have va plates on it which i didnt. Also you have to be playing with the switches to be pulled, my lawyer found that out. Well anyways he took my tags and gave me a ticket for it and also gave me a ticket for having nos because he thought my air tank in the back seat was nos. Thats so funny. So when we went to court the judge threw out all of the charges. Nash must have had like 20 people in there he had written tickers too. Even the judge knew that he profiles hooked up cars.

 

Finally someone with something worthwhile to say about cops. Kevin knows the deal and he is right. When I was an MP on quantico you think I wrote bs tickets like that? hell no I had a 99 cobra with longtubes and no cats and alot of other mods and my car was altered quite a bit.

Some cops give others a bad name.
