I can buy a Honda for < $2000, turbocharge it for <$2000, insurance is $30 a month tops, and we all know Hondas don't break. Cheap to me.

you forgot about engine management, tires to handle power, fuel system. If paying that much to run 13s is your thing, go for it. They can make power no problem, it's just not as cheap as it appears. As a straight up stripped out race car, yeah you can get it done for pretty cheap. If you're trying to build a street car though, hondas are probably one of the most expensive cars to make go down the track in street trim.

insurance, you're right on that one..

and as far as not breaking.. I hope you're joking?

Personally.. Car for me was $400 (full interior 92 civic LX sedan), gsr swap about 1500, original turbo setup about $800-900 engine management $50 bucks(crome), fuel system dont remember still real cheap, Wheels in tires $600(C-8's wraped in KDW's), Built motor aprox $800. Full interior & yes my car is driven every single day back & forth to work. Your car alone prolly costed more then what ive got listed so far

Jen's car on here cost less then 2k to full turbo charge it, now that included injectors and engine managment. Remeber this is a honda so u dont need a standalone and or piggyback. All u need is a reflash and we have one of the best honda tuners in richmond and a reflash/tune is dirt cheap

The car has been turbocharged for 1.5 years now (Daily driven) and has only required oil changes and plugs.

Yeah its a 13 sec car but it was dirt cheap

Honda=cheap, reliable fun

Its the chevy of the import world. Parts on ebay for them are dirt cheap now. Hell I think modding a honda these days are alot cheaper then modding DSM's and DSMs are know for cheap upgrades.

I'd still argue that it IS as cheap as it appears. Mostly because 90% of the cars on the street ARENT tuned correctly, do NOT have tires to put the power down, etc. Just because they are turbo'd doesnt mean its done right. THATS my point. Tons of people are doing it because you can get into the game cheaply, no matter if its right or not.

I wasnt speaking of racing anything. Just agreeing that turbo Hondas are popping up everywhere.

Thats what the was for. But I was only half joking. IF they are tuned correctly and driven properly they will last forever, much like anything.

Matt Shue is the shit. He doesnt even use my dyno anymore and I still recommend him to everyone I meet in need of a Honda or non-Ford tune.
