Conversation with my manager (good quotes)
This is an actual conversation between me and a manager today...
me: "Do we have a schedule for [customer] yet?"
mgr: "Not yet, we will find out tomorrow during the meeting."
me: "I'm supposed to have that day off."
mgr: "I know, but you'll still be here, right?"

Work the hours I work (110/week avg when travelling, 70-90 at home), then get taxed (42%) and monitored (all Internet traffic, travel) like me. Yeah, it's torture. What good are vacation days if you are never permitted to take them? What a tease.

New hires start with 25 days of vacation and 12 holidays. I've been here awhile and get a bit more, something like 7 weeks or so. Have 24 days remaining this year and have to take a minimum of 19 to carry over maximum of 5 days. Oh yeah, there are 4 holidays remaining this year, too. WTF?
