IM working on getting a evo swap (lancer) I need any and all INfo on bolt up ordering the thing from Japan. PLease its gotta be done and im blowing peeps off the road before long.

 

oh werd? what evo engine/tranny do you have? and in what chassis will it be goin in?

 

OKay well thats the thing im kinda in the middle of ordering one but i need info on what exactl;y to order, i dont want the all wheel drive because its going into an rs 96 eclipse. my tranny went out last saturday and ive decided thats the last straw i gotta replace the motor with it since its crapped out and may as well go as high as i can go right now and thats the lancer turbo. I need sites on what to look for or anything else you can ghelp ouit with

 

I really dont know anything about the lancer motors and well i figured this is a good way to learn

anything is possible if you have a huge wad of dough... why dont u just buy the evo8? or get an older mirage and put an evo engine in that? but that might be hard as well considering the evo's in japan are awd and the ones here are FF or you can get a j-spec engine from japan and put a turbo on it. that'll work too

 

btw....what is the eclipse called in japan?

 

an eclipse?? lol I dont even know, never seen a J-Spec eclipse.

I know the Mitsu FTO is close to an Eclipse but I think it's a diff car.

Swapping an AWD motor/tranny setup into a non-awd application will be more trouble than it's worth. Good luck putting that torque down thru the front wheels too.
