I got video of you in the 'Stang rocking it wheels up bumper down. Did you readjust for the last pass, it definitely looked like you got it dialed out enough to keep the wheels down a touch more....

I came out in the Suburban, turned a 16.77@81.64, not bad for the tow/response vehicle/daily beater.

Yeah, but when you can pull low 1.5`s and yank the front tires, a spinning through the 60 no pulling of the front tires just doesn`t do it for ya..Lol.. I did go for a competition style burnout before my last run after we had to wait so long though.

Was a fun night ineed. Someone post up some more videos for those of us stuck in the staging lanes all night. Fastest time for my Galant on stock tires was 14.3 @ 102mph.

Yeah, last night was pretty fun. That yellow mustang was crazy with its wheelstands. I got my best street tire pass so far with a 12.77 @111.80mph, so im pretty happy.

Good times...sometimes I wonder if it's more fun racing or watching?

Yep I did, I saw you and was about to come over and talk to you but you didn't look like you were in a mood to chat at the time

Its getting some stuff, a chip will help it out MASSIVELY. It has a coded traction control system thats nondefeatable without chipping/reprogramming, I can't so much as chirp them off the line. I got a best of a 2.427 60' because of it. It pulls massive timing on launch. Even though theres a lot of mass to get moving, they can turn much better than that. Should be able to get low 16's hopefully by chipping, people have shown time and time again some pretty ridiculous gains from a chip (predominately due to the torque management delete).

I was running through the traps in second gear a lil over 5k, its not worth grabbing third it definitely pulls harder staying in second. Gears would be a huge improvement on it, but I like doing 1900rpm at 75mph and this thing is not predominately a drag vehicle. It already has the factory 3.73 towing gears versus the normal 3.54's so its a lil better off than many.

NOS: Not in the plans, but there are some upgrades that it'll hopefully get sometime down the road beyond a chip. I'll probably before too long get some headers (Perhaps Thorley Tri-Y's) and some high flow cats and new midpipes, already have the mandrel 3" JBA Stainless Steel catback ($125 Trading Post special brand new). Something like removing the crappy poppet injectors and ultrarestrictive vortec composite manifold in favor of a high flow Vortec baseplate and Camaro TPI runners/plenum/injectors/fuel rails, and something like a cam (Truck/torque cam, "RV" cams as some of those old schoolers call 'em), valve springs and 1.6 rockers. Going pretty much for a torque setup. Not in a rush with any of this stuff, more like wishful thinking and a goal to one day attain. Hey -- It'll help it pull the car trailer right?

I figure, may as well run for the extra $5 even if it is only an ugly Suburban. Wheelman, were you running last night? I saw a foxbody that I think was the color of yours if I recall correctly from some pictures posted way back. Although I could be completely wrong about that too, my memory is terrible anymore.
